The corner of Roosevelt and 75th has at least three or four Tibetan restaurants. I picked Friends Corner because it had a couple dishes the others didn't (such as bara wo).

Unfortunately, the unusual dishes that caught my eye weren't actually available when I went.

Instead I got an order of steamed vegetable momos ($6) which were hearty, real and fresh. The outer shell had good texture but the interior filling (of cabbage and onions and carrots) tasted bland. That was easy to rectify, though, with the table chili oil and the sauce from my other dish, a tofu stir-fry.

The tofu ngopa ($8) is a subdued stir-fry with a liquid sauce. What I loved about it was the freshness of the ingredients and the color and variety of textures.

Instead of white rice (they don't have brown rice here), I opted for a side of "timo" which is a spongy rice ball that can be ripped and dipped into the tofu dish. I thought that was pretty cool.

The service is friendly, the prices are low and the portions are large.

Ok so I've never had Tibetan food and oh man this place blew me away. Order the chicken chilly, beef patties, the spicy beef tongue, and stewed beef momos. I literally can't write this review right now because I'm eating their food but I had to post this ASAP. Y'all asleep on that Tibetan food- come thru.

Stopped in here after work to pickup some dumplings. I should have called ahead, what was promised to be a 12 minute wait ended up being a 20 minute wait.

The dumplings were good, the beef was my favorite, chicken and veggie coming second and third.

Came here randomly with some friends and it was average to me. The place is no frills and mostly walk in off of the busy Roosevelt avenue. It's a relatively small place with a handful of tables so if you're adamant on going, I would call ahead or have a back up plan. The place also seems OK clean.
Ordered the following (refer to the pictures):

Side of the potatoes - nice kick of spice and tasty. Potatoes weren't tough and has s food softness

The fried beef momos - the best out of everything we ordered. Juicy inside with a nice crunch on the outside. Make sure to eat it with the MILD sauce or if you're daring go for the red bottle they have laying around.

I ordered the soup with beef momos - it was bland. Skip it. However the momos were good.

I probably will not go back.
    Worth a try though!

Went there first time  for family lunch. This is worst Tibet and Nepal food I eat  ever. They don't deserve any star. Every dish are bad
